Daniel Powter's Really Bad Day

Grammy-award nominated artist Daniel Powter, who had the breakout pop single in 2005, 'Bad Day' (which made number one on the Take 40 chart!) had a pretty bad reaction to his success.

"I couldn't handle the fame. I hated it," he said. "My life spiraled into alcohol and drug addiction to cope with the overwhelming life change that it brought."

Powter is due to release his follow-up album, 'Under the Radar' soon, which is obviously a place he likes to be. "These days I just look after myself, I go hiking and do healthy things. I don't do anything destructive anymore," he told Take 40. "I'm looking forward to touring sober and can't wait to get to Australia again." Watch out for the first single, 'Next Plane Home.'
